Victor Gad is a renowned, award-winning illustrator from Toronto. He is admired by critics because of his talent, his wit and his provocative sense of humour. He will show with us a very interesting series of drawings.

August 16th to September 4th Exploring Motion Image - Summer Animation Workshop for youth (ages 7-17) .

We are pleased to invite you to participation in the Animation Workshop series this August. There will be 9 sessions of the workshop, spread over the period of 3 weeks (here you can download the Schedule and Registration Form). PLEASE, NOTE THAT WE ARE FULLY BOOKED AND WE DO NOT ACCEPT FURTHER ANY NEW PARTICIPANTS.
The workshop will be run by professional film-maker James Greatrex and two assistants.
Participants will learn the basics of various kinds of animation and they will create together their own short stop-motion movie. The movie will be screened during the Phantasmagoria Art Festival in our cultural centre on September 9th.
The participation is by free will donations. The minimum donation is set at $ 35, which will help us to cover the administrative costs, but please consider donating more. Part of the cost of the workshop has been covered by the Canada Council for the Arts.

August 20th to October 10th COLD SPOTS - exhibition by Andrzej Maciejewski.



Photographic exhibition by OSCA artist and volunteer Andrzej Maciejewski. Cold Spots is a series of colour photographs taken using digital camera. Opening reception will take place on August 20th at 7 pm. The gallery is open from noon to 5 pm on weekends and by chance or appointment on other days.
